Relationships that Drain You
We all have people in our lives who can leave us feeling drained. We spend hours listening to their problems as they push our personal boundaries, all the while making little or no room to hear what’s going on with us. We often stay in these relationships hoping the other person will change.
Every interaction you have with another person involves an exchange of energy. Healthy relationships aren't perfect all the time, but there’s a natural flow of giving and receiving.
When you consistently give more than you receive, the relationship can start to feel one-sided and emotionally draining.
Why do you stay in relationships that leave you feeling this way?
Sometimes you feel responsible for someone else's happiness or feel guilty for setting boundaries and saying no. You hold onto the hope that someone will change and eventually give you what you need. You can spend so much time and energy trying to understand their behavior that you stop paying attention to how the relationship is affecting you.
When this goes on for too long, you can become disconnected from yourself. You stop trusting your intuition, take on other people's problems, and have less energy for the things that bring you joy.
Notice how you feel before, during, and after spending time with certain people. Are you able to relax and be yourself, or do you leave feeling heavy like you’ve taken on everything they’re carrying?
This isn't about judging someone or walking away from every difficult interaction. It's about paying attention to where your energy is going and how the relationship is affecting you.
Relationship Energy Reading
When a relationship is keeping you awake at night or leaving you unsure of what to do, it can be hard to hear your own intuition.
This reading looks at the energy of a romantic relationship, friendship, or family dynamic. We’ll look at what’s happening between you, where boundaries have been crossed, and why it may be so difficult to change the dynamic.
The session includes energy healing to help release what may be keeping you attached to the situation, so you can better understand the relationship and decide what to do next. Book here.
